(a) Summary of Job Responsibilities
The Office Administrator (OA) will lead the Front Office Staffs and shall ensure quality customer care. He/she will also assist the Operations Manager in Human Resources Management and the Finance Manager in Procurement processes. The OA will report to Operations Manager

(b) Required skills & Qualifications
• A Bachelor Degree or its equivalent in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or any related field from recognized institution
• Minimum of 2 years working experience in Human Resources/Administration
• High computer literacy especially in MS. Word and Web-based programs
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent oral and written English

a. Summary of Job Responsibilities
The Credit Officer will be responsible for assessment and performance of Loans. He/she will be responsible for disseminating information of HFHT products to both existing and potential clients. He/she will ensure Clients Protection Principles are adhered to and shall use his/her professional knowledge in ensuring compliance when exercising duties. The Credit Officer shall report to the Branch Manager

b. Required skills & Qualifications
• Any of the following
• At least a certificate (level II) in Masonry and Brick Laying/Civil Drawing/ Carpentry/ plumbing and Electricity from Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) or any recognized institution
• A bachelor Degree or its equivalent in Insurance and Risk Management from any recognized Institution
• A Bachelor Degree in Laws or its equivalent from any recognized institution
• Candidates with minimum of 2 years working experience will have added advantage
• Computer literacy especially in MS Word and Spreadsheets
• Good oral and written English

ACCOUNT ASSISTANT (1 POST)

A. Summary of Job Responsibilities
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for posting financial transactions. He/she will assist the Accountant in preparing transactions for Journal entities and for bank reconciliation. He/she shall also reconcile loan transactions with loan tracking system. The Accounts Assistant shall report to the Accountant.
B. Required skills & Qualifications
• A Bachelor Degree or its equivalent in Accounting from any recognized institution
• Candidates with minimum of 2 years working experience will have added advantage
• Computer literacy especially in Excel and any accounting package
• Good oral and written English

JOB OPPORTUNITY : Social Business and Agricultural Project Manager

Social Business and Agricultural Project Manager

So They Can (STC) is a Tanzanian registered Non-Government Organisation conducting social development projects in the Mamire/Endakiso Wards of the Babati District Manyara Region. Our main focus is to improve the quality of education in poor rural primary schools, but we also seek to address systemic issues by developing social projects which will improve income potential and standard of living.

Role and Responsibilities

We therefore require a competent person to continue the successful management of existing business projects and to be instrumental in seeking opportunities for new projects to improve livelihoods.

As these business projects focus around agriculture, the SBA Project Manager will be strongly focused in fostering ecologically sustainable farming techniques by implementing such practices in our own farming activities. They will also be instrumental in introducing such knowledge to local farmers through Open Farm Day demonstrations.

The successful candidate will be required to interact with government departments, staff, stakeholders and community members in order to drive progress.

Knowledge and skills
Essential:
Experience in farm management and use of ecologically sustainable practices
Extensive experience of successful small business management
Fluent in English and Kiswahili both oral and written
Strong team leadership and organizational reporting skills
Experience of bookkeeping and project budgeting

Desirable:
Experience liaising with stakeholders and government departments
Experience in marketing at a national and international level
Experience working with NGOs or institutional donors

Personal Specification
Confident communicator in English and Kiswahili
Proactive and highly organized
Willing to live and work in a rural context

Remuneration
STC offers a competitive and negotiable remuneration based on qualification and experiences established according to the STC Tanzania framework.

Engagement
The successful candidate will be employed for on a six month probation with a view to becoming a full time member of staff thereafter. The successful candidate should be ready to start working by mid August 2015.

Supporter Relations Manager

The School of St Jude is a charity funded school that provides FREE, high-quality education to over 1,900 primary and secondary students from the poorest communities in Arusha, Tanzania. This is made possible through the generosity of many people around the world. Sponsorship and Donations are a vital part of the ongoing success of St Jude’s, and every contribution is valued.
The School is currently seeking applications from creative, organised and enthusiastic individuals to lead their Supporter Relations Team. The Supporter Relations Team prides itself on producing engaging, informative and highly personalized communication to our extensive donors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing communication plans for VIP donors, to be edited and approved by Founder
  • Liaising with all relevant teams: Accounts, Sponsor Relations, Marketing, Visitors, Tertiary on a regular basis relating to communication to/from VIPs
  • Reviewing and editing ALL VIP communications: aerograms, thank you letters, photos, videos, cards, gifts, etc.
  • Familiarizing yourself with all of our major donors and their history
  • Pulling and preparing various reports on a regular basis (financial, KPI, deliverables, etc.)
  • Regularly discussing and developing donation allocation ideas based on the school’s needs, donation amounts and donor history
  • Managing “special projects” and liaising closely with other fundraising teams-sponsorship, visitors, marketing, accounts academic and HR, so as to provide outstanding service to the supporters of the school. Special projects may be many, and vary throughout the year
  • Continually thinking of ideas to improve communication with our VIP donors
  • Regularly updating the database with all relevant donor information
  • Liaising with Visitor Manager regarding itineraries and communication with ALL visiting VIPs
  • Liaising with Sponsorship Manager regarding communication with VIPs who are sponsors
  • Working with large groups who regularly visit the school
  • Developing customized video scripts for VIP donors and working closely with team’s videographer to ensure quality and punctual delivery
  • Regular meetings with St Jude’s Founder to discuss and input on all projects
  • Educating all teams on VIP policies and procedures
  • Attending monthly Business Managers meetings
  • Developing reporting for donor foundations as needed by those foundations
  • Mentoring Supporter Relations Assistant

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:

  • Diploma /University Degree in Community Development/Business Administration or any other relevant field
  • 3 years of Management experience in working with an NGO
  • Previous experience managing a team
  • Previous experience in working in a mid to large sized NGO (preferably within the Donors/Sponsor Department)
  • Exceptional creative writing, design and communication skills
  • Strong inter-personal skills to work in collaboration with all other departments
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Access and Publisher a must)
  • A strong commitment to the continued training of Tanzanian staff
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • The ability to be flexible, extremely patient, personable and easygoing

Job Purpose
