CREDIT OFFICER-X 2 POSITION DESCRIPTION:

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Habitat for Humanity Tanzania (HFHT) is a registered organization under the Societie’s Ordinance (SO 8677). Humanity International (HFTHI) which is non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. The purpose and goal of Habitat for Humanity is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. HFHT is currently implementating the Housing Microfinance Program known as “Makazi Bora”
As it expand lines of Business, HFHT is inviting applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill the following posts;

CREDIT OFFICERS (2 POSTS)
a. Summary of Job Responsibilities
The Credit Officer will be responsible for assessment and performance of Loans. He/she will be responsible for disseminating information of HFHT products to both existing and potential clients. He/she will ensure Clients Protection Principles are adhered to and shall use his/her professional knowledge in ensuring compliance when exercising duties. The Credit Officer shall report to the Branch Manager

b. Required skills & Qualifications
• Any of the following
• At least a certificate (level II) in Masonry and Brick Laying/Civil Drawing/ Carpentry/ plumbing and Electricity from Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) or any recognized institution
• A bachelor Degree or its equivalent in Insurance and Risk Management from any recognized Institution
• A Bachelor Degree in Laws or its equivalent from any recognized institution
• Candidates with minimum of 2 years working experience will have added advantage
• Computer literacy especially in MS Word and Spreadsheets
• Good oral and written English
